Job summary
Senior Platform Engineer supporting design, architecture, implementation, and security of a multi-site network communication environment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of IT experience in networking, LAN/WAN, firewalls, security technologies, and load balancing
- Experience with TCP/IP communications
- Knowledge of Cisco products and network diagnostics
- Familiarity with BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies
- Experience in a regulated environment with DSS/PCI compliance
Responsibilities
- Manage and implement network projects
- Develop requirements for upgrading network devices
- Plan and implement upgrades for network devices
- Troubleshoot network communications and provide technical assistance
- Support project planning, resource utilization, and implementation
- Identify and escalate project risks
- Collaborate with teams to complete projects
- Engage with change process and operations management
- Manage vendor relationships
- Identify service improvement activities
- Perform baseline checks on new hardware
- Share knowledge and review peer work
