Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer role focuses on building, operating, and evolving systems, tooling, and infrastructure to support software delivery and platform operations. Key responsibilities include designing core platform systems, enhancing developer productivity through internal tools, and improving observability and operational practices, with a strong emphasis on cloud environments, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps or infrastructure-focused software development
• strong experience with Cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• deep, hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production
• comfortable running & operating containerized services at scale
• confident with infrastructure-as-code to automate deployments and operational workflows
• experience owning, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• comfortable troubleshooting issues across distributed systems, networking, containers and cloud services
• strong understanding of monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting
