Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to enhance the operations of RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system. The role involves designing and delivering automation solutions, collaborating with teams, and ensuring platform reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications such as Terraform Associate, Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400).
• Proven experience in platform or infrastructure engineering in complex environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise configuration management and automation.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API-driven automation.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in YAML and at least one scripting language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on automation and service reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated operating system and application configuration solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to advance infrastructure automation and deliver reliable solutions.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and optimise platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues impacting automation platforms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge artefacts.
• Adhere to governance frameworks and operational controls.
• Conduct technical peer reviews and promote engineering excellence.
