Job summary

Seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead platform modernization efforts for federal student aid programs. This fully remote role involves designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and improving developer experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in platform engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Proven ability to standardize observability
• Extensive experience designing and supporting cloud-native platforms
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles
• Experience implementing enterprise observability
• Demonstrated experience designing and evolving internal platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the enterprise platform supporting software delivery
• Design and build scalable cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Establish and standardize platform engineering best practices
• Design and implement observability capabilities
• Build self-service platform capabilities
• Integrate security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
• Troubleshoot complex platform challenges
