Job summary

The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer is tasked with designing, building, and operating scalable platform infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments. This role involves developing reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, building CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining container and Kubernetes capabilities using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Go to enhance developer productivity and operational efficiency.

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering or related discipline.
• Experience designing and operating production infrastructure in Azure or AWS.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with containerized workloads and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar programming languages.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and self-service infrastructure capabilities.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Knowledge of cloud and enterprise networking.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability for production platforms.
• Understanding of platform security and identity management.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives independently.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable platform infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and automation frameworks.
• Own platform initiatives from design through production operations.
• Build and maintain container and Kubernetes platform capabilities.
• Develop platform tooling and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Go.
• Establish and maintain platform standards for reliability and security.
• Support capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer-facing platform services.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and application integration issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for automation and reliability improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance.
