Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Shippit, you will provide technical leadership across the AWS cloud platform, working with various teams to enhance technology and accelerate product delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with core AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM) in production
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience delivering a containerised platform in production on public cloud
• Knowledge of GitOps tooling such as Argo CD or Flux CD
• Experience managing a multi-account AWS environment
• Experience delivering cloud-native architecture
• Familiarity with observability stacks like ELK and LGTM
• Experience with Node.js, Golang or Ruby
• Experience in platform engineering in regulated industries

Responsibilities

• Build and operate internal platform as a service
• Drive adoption and simplification of technology choices
• Design and implement infrastructure as code solutions
• Contribute to ADRs and RFCs for cloud platform
• Embody best practices and continuous improvement
• Provide production support and root cause analysis
