Job summary
The Senior Platform Engineer operates and improves the Google Cloud Platform infrastructure that supports an algorithmic cryptocurrency trading system. The role focuses on reliable, secure, scalable production services through architecture reviews, infrastructure automation, capacity planning, security audits, observability, and incident response. It also includes introducing AI-assisted engineering workflows and applying SRE and DevOps practices across systems built with Kubernetes and tools such as Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience operating production infrastructure
- Administrator-level knowledge of GCP and Kubernetes
- Experience administering observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
- Infrastructure-as-code experience in a CI/CD environment, including Terraform, GCP Config Connector, or Argo
- Experience with Unix, Linux, shell scripting, and networking
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, secret management, and encryption
- Interest in AI methods and automation
- Proactive approach to automating repetitive work
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous learning
- Preferred: experience with AI-assisted engineering or operations workflows
- Preferred: infrastructure and application security, including keystore management
- Preferred: software development knowledge in Go, Python, or REST APIs
- Preferred: hands-on experience with relational, NoSQL, or time-series databases
- Preferred: middleware administration, including NATS
- Preferred: experience operating algorithmic trading infrastructure
Responsibilities

- Conduct architecture reviews and support vulnerability and incident response
- Manage infrastructure changes from concept through production

- Evaluate and deploy AI-assisted tools for engineering teams
- Improve automation, scaling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost optimization
