Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer at Systematica Investments will design, build, automate, and operate a hybrid production platform across AWS and on-premises environments, focusing on HashiCorp technologies. The role requires strong judgment in making platform changes and collaboration with various teams to enhance platform reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp technologies, particularly Nomad, Consul and Vault
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform and automation experience using Ansible
• Understanding of CI/CD, source control, and deployment workflows
• Attention to detail and commitment to process improvement
• Ability to prioritize effectively under pressure

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and operate the production platform across AWS and on-premises infrastructure
• Own, maintain and evolve the HashiCorp platform, including Vault, Consul, Nomad and associated integrations
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure resources and reusable platform modules
• Use Ansible to support deployment workflows and configuration management
• Build internal tooling and automation to improve developer productivity
• Support and enhance CI/CD platforms and engineering workflows
• Improve platform reliability, security, observability, and performance
• Collaborate with software engineers and security teams to deliver secure platforms
