Job summary
The Senior Platform Engineer implements and owns the shared production platform used to build, deploy, and operate AI solutions, ensuring they connect securely to systems of record and other core systems. The role establishes release standards, permissions, observability, evaluation, and shared retrieval services, while maintaining platform reliability and security alongside AI, delivery, DevOps, Cyber, and Architecture teams. The technology stack may include Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience building and running production platforms relied on by other teams
- Strong experience with security, identity, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability
- Pragmatic experience building and maintaining platforms
- Ability to explain technical and risk trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders
- Experience running large language model or agent workloads in production, or evidence of ability to develop this capability quickly
- Understanding of AI evaluation, retrieval, model and prompt regression, and agent observability
- Sound judgment about when to use AI or conventional software
Responsibilities
- Implement and own the shared platform for building, deploying, and operating AI solutions
- Bring the agreed platform design into production
- Enable AI solutions to connect securely to systems of record and other core systems
- Establish release standards, permissions, observability, evaluation, and shared retrieval services
- Maintain platform reliability, security, and day-to-day evolution
- Work with AI, delivery partners, DevOps, Cyber, and Architecture teams to make solutions safe and straightforward to build and operate
