Job summary
Manulife is seeking a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to enhance and manage their Azure-based platform ecosystem, focusing on reliability, performance, and automation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, AKS, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience supporting and administering cloud-native platforms in production environments
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Azure PaaS services
- Understanding of platform monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Azure Monitor, or ADX
- Experience with Agile delivery practices and strong troubleshooting skills
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure PaaS resources, and CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy, support, and optimize services such as APIM, Redis, Key Vault, PostgreSQL, AI Foundry, and Storage
- Partner with development teams to onboard and troubleshoot applications in Azure environments
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Flux, and GitHub Actions
- Drive platform reliability, automation, security, and operational excellence
- Leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency and enhance platform operations
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting business-critical services
