Job summary

As a Senior Power Platform Engineer at Avanade, you will drive the digital transformation for clients ranging from DAX corporations to global market leaders, taking technical responsibility for challenging Power Pages projects. This role involves architecting, developing, and integrating external portals within the Power Platform and Microsoft ecosystem, focusing on creating powerful, secure, and user-friendly self-service portals.

Qualifications

• Several years of in-depth experience in developing Power Pages / Power Apps Portals (formerly Dynamics 365 Portals / ADX Studio)
• Profound knowledge of Liquid template language, web templates, and page templates
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and ideally TypeScript
• Experience with Bootstrap and frontend frameworks in the Power Pages context
• Deep understanding of Power Pages security concepts: Web Roles, Table Permissions, Site Settings
• Experience with authentication mechanisms: Azure AD B2C, OAuth 2.0, SAML, Custom Identity Provider
• Experience with Power Pages Management App, Portal Management, and Configuration Migration Tool
• Experience with ALM for Power Pages: Solutions, Deployment Profiles, Power Platform CLI
• Excellent knowledge of Dataverse: data modeling, business rules, plug-ins, security roles
• Experience with Power Automate (Cloud Flows) for process automation in portal scenarios
• Basic knowledge of Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps for complementary internal solutions
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams) and Azure Services (Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, API Management)
• Profound experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, ideally React
• Experience with REST APIs and web services (JSON, XML)
• Knowledge of C# / .NET for plug-in development and custom connectors is a plus
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub for version control and CI/CD
• Confident communication with stakeholders at specialist and management levels
• Experience in requirements management: elicitation, analysis, and documentation
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Shape the digital transformation of clients
• Take responsibility for complex solutions based on Microsoft Power Platform
• Work in an international environment with experts in the Microsoft Stack
• Assume technical responsibility for challenging Power Pages projects
• Conceive and implement complex Power Pages solutions for external user groups (B2B, B2C, partner portals, self-service portals)
• Design information architecture, authorization concepts (Web Roles, Table Permissions), and authentication (Azure AD B2C, external Identity Providers)
• Develop and customize Liquid templates, web templates, page templates, and content snippets
• Extend Power Pages with custom JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and integrate external APIs
• Connect Power Pages to Dataverse, Power Automate, Azure Services, and third-party systems
• Implement responsive, accessible designs considering performance and SEO
• Ensure security, data protection (GDPR), and compliance in public portals
• Build and establish best practices, ALM processes (Azure DevOps, GitHub), and deployment pipelines for Power Pages
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level colleagues
• Advise clients on portal strategies, user experience, and scalability
