Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Principal Cloud Architect in San Diego, CA, responsible for providing technical leadership and hands-on development of cloud solution architectures.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance
• Proven experience as a cloud architect
• Expertise in Active Directory design and maintenance
• Experience as a cloud engineer with AWS
• Experience in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
• Ability to use tools like Git, YML, and AWS security capabilities
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
• Configuration and change management experience with Government customers
• In-depth troubleshooting experience
• Experience writing SSM documents in JSON/YAML
• Experience with CloudFormation templates
• Understanding of enterprise Data Architectures and AI enablement principles

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on development of cloud solution architectures
• Plan, design, and manage migration and operation of complex cloud environments
• Communicate and implement security processes
• Ensure cloud service offerings adhere to DoD Cloud Computing policies
• Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection
• Develop and conduct testing of cloud and virtualization systems
• Maintain technical expertise in cloud computing and virtualization technologies
• Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies
• Participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, and data science teams
