Job summary

The Senior QA Automation Engineer embeds in an agile team to lead software quality across development and acceptance testing, improving test coverage and efficiency. The role designs risk-based test cases, maintains regression tests and test data, automates UI and API testing with Playwright and TypeScript, performs manual testing, manages defects, and documents test execution for auditability. The work may involve banking and Client Lifecycle Management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of test automation experience covering UI and API testing.
• Experience working in an agile team; DevOps experience is a strong plus.
• Experience supporting testing from development through acceptance.
• Strong test case design skills and experience with risk-based testing.
• Ability to explore databases independently to find relevant test data.
• Good Jira knowledge; basic XRAY knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent English proficiency (C1/C2); fluent Spanish is a plus.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.
• Accurate, reliable, proactive, resilient, collaborative, and committed to quality.

Responsibilities

• Work as an embedded QA Automation Engineer in an agile team.
• Drive the team's software quality initiatives.
• Design and execute tests covering requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify test cases for automation and automate UI and API tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Perform manual testing as required, including periods when it is the primary testing responsibility.
• Create or organize test data and maintain regression test cases.
• Document test execution in an audit-proof manner.
• Manage defects and support the team on software quality topics.
• Read and write Java or C# code when needed.
