Senior Security Platform Engineer - SRE

Job summary

Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of security platforms supporting Cyber Defence and Threat Detection operations using Site Reliability Engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Expertise in SRE practices, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and incident management.
• Experience with automation and platform engineering, including Python scripting and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cloud and observability technologies.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms like SIEM and EDR.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and monitor SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and platform health across security platforms.
• Identify risks and lead reliability improvements through observability and engineering enhancements.
• Manage observability solutions for end-to-end visibility through monitoring and alerting.
• Develop automation for monitoring and alerting to ensure proactive issue detection.
• Coordinate incident response and recovery, including major incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Enhance operational excellence through runbooks, incident analysis, and change management.
• Plan capacity and monitor performance across security platforms.
• Optimize platform performance by identifying bottlenecks and supporting scalability decisions.
