Job summary

Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for automating infrastructure and monitoring systems and maintaining reliable messaging, telemetry, database, and container platforms. The role administers RabbitMQ, InfluxDB, MySQL, Grafana, and Nomad environments; develops Chef cookbooks, Ruby telemetry services, and GitHub Actions workflows; and supports monitoring, alerting, and on-call incident response.

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or an engineer-related occupation.
• Five years of experience with infrastructure automation, time-series platforms, a high-level programming language, Git or GitHub, container technologies, SRE concepts, Linux, and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks to automate infrastructure and monitoring components.
• Administer high-volume RabbitMQ clusters, including capacity management, performance tuning, and availability.
• Manage InfluxDB and MySQL clusters, including provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and reliability.
• Maintain Grafana instances, dashboards, and alerting configurations.
• Operate the Nomad container platform and supporting services, including HAProxy, Consul, and Vault.
• Create CI/CD and operational workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Develop Ruby applications and services for the telemetry transport pipeline.
• Participate in on-call incident response, troubleshoot issues, and support service availability.
