Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer ensures the reliability, availability, performance, and security of cloud components deployed at client sites for clinical software incorporating AI algorithms. The role defines SLOs and reliability metrics, automates deployment and operations, maintains observability, leads incident response and capacity planning, and supports customer deployments. It also provides technical leadership in SRE and platform engineering, including secure infrastructure and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of hands-on Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience.
• Knowledge of software development, networking, and security best practices.
• Experience with fleet management and GitOps, such as ArgoCD.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes and its ecosystem, and Linux.
• Experience with virtualization, Ansible or Terraform, and SQL database administration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and GCP or AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Preferred: familiarity with medical device software requirements and AI or machine learning concepts.
• Preferred: experience with information security standards such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud components deployed at client sites.
• Define and monitor SLOs, error budgets, and reliability metrics.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response operations.
• Design and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing systems.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless post-mortems, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Support customer-site deployments and ongoing maintenance.
• Mentor and onboard engineers in SRE and platform engineering practices.
• Maintain secure infrastructure configurations and CI/CD pipeline controls.
• Document infrastructure changes and maintain audit trails.
