Job summary
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer builds and improves production systems for a large-scale authentication platform, strengthening reliability, resiliency, availability, performance, and observability. The role develops custom software, automation, and SRE tooling; partners with engineering teams on reliability practices; and responds to production incidents in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation during local working hours. The work uses Go, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, and Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical production applications with autonomy
- Proficiency in at least one programming language; Go preferred
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD
- Expertise with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Understanding of microservices, SQL or NoSQL databases, and networking
- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Experience in an on-call rotation for a 24/7 cloud-based environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote, distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Design and build custom Go software to improve platform reliability, resiliency, and redundancy
- Partner with engineering teams to improve service availability, performance, and observability
- Identify and implement infrastructure and observability improvements
- Respond to production incidents through a follow-the-sun on-call rotation
- Troubleshoot, mitigate, or escalate production issues
- Develop SRE tooling and processes focused on automation and operational efficiency
- Document and promote reliability best practices
