Ora*** is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their OCI team in Nashville, TN. The role involves minimizing downtime of OCI services through incident management and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or System Engineering.
• Public cloud operations experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Experience with Major Incident Management in a cloud environment.
• Understanding of automation and orchestration principles.
• Experience in at least one modern object-oriented programming language.
• Familiarity with software engineering methodologies such as Agile, coding standards, and testing.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and automate tasks for continuous availability.
• Command and coordinate SMEs and service leaders to restore services during major incidents.
• Utilize understanding of cloud computing design patterns to mitigate major incidents.
• Troubleshoot large, complex systems used in incident detection and orchestration.
• Document information related to incidents for process improvement.
• Monitor service and infrastructure dashboards and address anomalies.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
• Define and document technical architecture of distributed systems.
• Understand configuration and dependencies of production services.
• Design and deliver mission-critical stack focusing on security and performance.
• Partner with development teams to define operational requirements.
• Guide development teams to enhance Ora*** Cloud service capabilities.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues not documented as SOPs.
