Job summary
RBC Wealth Management Technology is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the performance and reliability of critical applications.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with infrastructure automation
- Scripting and automation skills
- Experience with reliability and observability tooling
- Understanding of production operations
- Experience with SLIs, SLOs, alerting strategies
- Knowledge of cloud-native systems
- Understanding of AIOps and AI/ML concepts
- Ability to work across teams
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance the SRE product base
- Implement observability practices
- Design machine learning-based anomaly detection
- Architect self-healing solutions
- Design human-in-the-loop workflows
- Standardize telemetry and instrumentation
- Contribute to observability evolution
- Partner with cross-functional teams
- Automate operational workflows
- Develop custom tooling
- Collaborate with development teams
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs
- Evolve runbooks into automation patterns
- Support production deployments
- Contribute to incident management
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Identify opportunities to modernize operations
