Job summary
As an Application Support Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and performance of trading platforms, drive operational excellence, and mentor team members.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of production support experience in financial services or high-availability environments
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting applications on LINUX or WINDOWS OS
- Understanding of VMs, cloud platforms, and infrastructure fundamentals
- Knowledge of microservices architectures and RESTful APIs
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Familiarity with incident and change management frameworks
- Comfortable with rotating 7×24 on-call support
Responsibilities
- Own the reliability of critical production systems
- Lead incident response and change management
- Drive operational excellence by championing SRE practices
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
- Manage and optimize application job scheduling
- Influence system architecture with insights
- Utilize tools to automate and solve day-to-day problems
