Job summary

Schwarz Corporate Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and manage highly available distributed message broker clusters for their cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large distributed systems in production, preferably in Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering.
• Practical administrative experience with enterprise brokers like Apache Kafka or Solace and managing infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Bash with strong understanding of Linux performance tuning and network protocols.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture patterns and event streaming concepts.
• Fluent in English, ideally with German, for effective communication in international agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage highly available distributed message broker clusters across multiple data centers.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and fault tolerance of the messaging infrastructure with robust disaster recovery and failover strategies.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and configuration of messaging clusters.
• Create comprehensive dashboards for monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Define best practices for application developers and build a self-service platform for internal teams.
