Job summary

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is tasked with ensuring the health, monitoring, automation, and scalability of critical systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting production incidents, leading root cause investigations, creating centralized logging and monitoring systems, and automating routine tasks using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience as Site Reliability Engineer.
• Experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred).
• Experience with IAC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Istio.
• Proficiency with Git and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Linux and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Java, JS, Duck creek, Python, Microservices.
• Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics).
• Experience with ELK Stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience with synthetic monitoring tools (APICA, Zebra tester).
• Understanding of application servers, networks, and databases.
• Knowledge of Jenkins or other build tools.
• Ability to handle multiple complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Build tools and testing strategies for problem prevention and detection.
• Troubleshoot production incidents in real time.
• Lead root cause investigations.
• Create centralized logging and monitoring systems.
• Proactively identify system anomalies.
• Recommend and execute testing strategies.
• Recognize automation opportunities.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Code level debugging on escalated issues.
• Develop tools to automate routine jobs.
• Integrate into software release cycle.
• Work closely with developers on software releases.
• Automate time-consuming manual processes.
