Job summary

Securian Financial is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Platform Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable data solutions that support enterprise-wide analytics and AI.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building cloud-based data solutions on Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines and version control.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and compliance frameworks.
• Experience providing level-3 operation support for data tools and platforms.
• Ability to translate governance and security requirements into technical designs.
• Experience with data security and governance policy enforcement.
• Passion for emerging trends in data platforms and AI.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure, compliant data solutions that align with enterprise governance and security standards.
• Direct and prioritize the engineering backlog for data platform infrastructure and tooling.
• Champion platform selection and onboarding, ensuring adherence to data governance frameworks.
• Provide level 3 support for various data solutions and tools.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Governance teams to design compliant solutions.
• Execute proof-of-concept projects to validate new technologies.
• Maintain platform security posture and address vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend compliant solutions.
