Senior Software & Cloud Architect (m/w/d)

Job summary

Seeking a Senior Software & Cloud Architect to develop sustainable technical architectures and support clients from conception to implementation.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of practical experience in software, solution, and/or cloud architecture
• Strong understanding of modern software architectures, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Excellent knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Good knowledge of modern CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering concepts
• Experience with cloud migration, application modernization, and/or cloud-native development
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, governance, and observability
• Solid software development background and ability to assess architecture decisions at the implementation level
• Proficient use of AI-assisted development tools and coding agents
• Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into viable solution architectures
• Fluent in German and good command of English
• Confident in client interactions and ability to communicate technical decisions clearly

Responsibilities

• Develop modern software, solution, and cloud architectures
• Analyze existing applications and IT landscapes, develop modernization and migration strategies
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Develop cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems
• Design APIs and integration architectures between existing and new systems
• Architect and enhance containerized platforms with Docker and Kubernetes
• Automate cloud infrastructures with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
• Implement modern CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering approaches
• Consider security, IAM, networking, governance, and observability in overall architecture
• Evaluate architecture decisions for scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost
• Support cloud migrations and application modernization projects
• Conduct architecture and client workshops, advise technical and business stakeholders
• Provide technical support during implementation and troubleshooting
• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools and coding agents
