Job summary
Develops and operates core components of an email marketing platform, particularly the mailing editor for creating and managing campaigns. The role covers Java and Spring Boot development, feature design and delivery, performant messaging, and CI/CD workflows involving Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitOps, migrations, and deployments. It also contributes to architecture, automated testing, code reviews, and mentoring.

Qualifications
- Several years of professional Java backend development experience and strong Spring Boot knowledge.
- Experience designing well-structured REST interfaces and good SQL skills; PostgreSQL preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Jenkins administration and configuration.
- Experience with message brokers, especially RabbitMQ.
- Commitment to reliable software delivery, stable operations, and quality practices.
- Experience with automated tests, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Targeted and thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Independent working style, teamwork, and willingness to share knowledge.
- Very good German skills.
- React and TypeScript are welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop central mailing editor components using Java and Spring Boot.
- Own feature delivery from technical design through implementation and release.
- Contribute to build and deployment processes and administer and configure Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- Develop performant solutions for communication between platform components.
- Configure GitOps repositories, carry out complex migrations, and execute deployments.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and platform improvements.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully in development workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and automated testing.
- Share knowledge and support less experienced colleagues.
