Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their CI/CD and Embedded Software Development Tools team. The role involves designing, building, and operating cloud-based CI/CD platforms and pipelines to support embedded software production and virtualized test environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in software tools, platform, or infrastructure development
• Strong expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages
• Solid understanding of embedded software development tools
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software production
• Architect, implement, and operate cloud-based platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, availability, and security of CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with physical and virtual test environments
• Develop new methods to automate provisioning and maintenance
• Monitor and analyze pipeline and platform performance
• Act as a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure
• Prepare and deliver updates and demonstrations
