Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

Job summary

Confluence is hiring three Senior Software Engineers with DevOps experience to transform a core solution from a legacy WinForms and Citrix setup to a modern, cloud-first architecture on Azure. This hands-on role involves building new, web-based systems from scratch, working across backend services, APIs, and data-driven applications. The position offers significant scope to influence design decisions, ways of working, and overall architecture in a greenfield build environment.

• experience in a DevOps environment
• hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• experience with C# and backend development
• experience building web applications (React or similar)
• hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS considered)
• experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD and deployment
• experience designing and building APIs and backend services
• comfortable working independently and taking ownership of delivery
• able to collaborate with product, data, and engineering stakeholders
• experience in financial services or investment data
• understanding of asset classes such as equities or fixed income and performance data structure
• experience working on data-driven systems, analytics, or dashboards
• exposure to AI integrations or LLM based applications
• experience with modern architecture approaches such as microservices or cloud-native design
