Senior Software Engineer Level 3 AI Platform and DevOps - Level 3

Job summary

The Senior Software Engineer builds and operates the infrastructure platform that delivers production AI and machine learning services to mission users. The role focuses on automation, deployment, and reliability, including running containerized workloads on on-premises Kubernetes, building delivery pipelines, designing for availability and performance, and monitoring service health and usage. The engineer works with data scientists, system administrators, and stakeholders to turn operational needs into dependable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of the degree
• Experience deploying and managing services on on-premises infrastructure
• Production experience containerizing and orchestrating services with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing observability with Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
• Experience using Git for version control
• Working familiarity with Jira and Confluence
