Job summary
The Senior Software & Platform Engineer – Risk Modeling Platform is a hands-on engineering role focused on software development, utilizing Python, Docker, and cloud technologies, primarily Microsoft Azure. Key responsibilities include designing efficient code, implementing front-end and back-end applications, and supporting complex risk modeling workflows while collaborating with quantitative developers and IT teams.

Qualifications
- 10+ years building complex, scalable web applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Quantitative or analytical background with statistical modelling knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of Python and Docker
- Experience with statistical models and risk modelling platforms
- Experience in Financial Services, preferably Insurance/Reinsurance
- Very good knowledge of English
- Fast learner with team spirit
- Interest in new technologies
- Knowledge in big data applications and Databricks is advantageous
- Previous experience with .NET/C# is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design efficient, testable, reusable, and reliable code in Python and Docker
- Enhance front-end and back-end applications for task orchestration
- Implement solutions on the cloud, mainly Microsoft Azure
- Support statistical modelling and analytical workflows
- Work with Linux, Docker, DataBricks, JupyterHub, Postgres
- Collaborate with IT Technical team for automation and support
- Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Architect and develop robust technical solutions
- Contribute to integration of the Risk Modeling Platform with data platforms
