Job summary
Lead a VMware/vSphere-to-Kubernetes migration of approximately 450 virtual machines across five datacenters while maintaining uninterrupted banking services. Own reliability and infrastructure across dedicated client platforms, including high-availability design, Terraform and Ansible automation, SLOs, observability, incident management, and banking-sector security and compliance. The role also includes mentoring engineers and partnering with development teams to improve production operations.

Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or production infrastructure engineer.
- Strong Linux and Debian skills, with significant production experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience operating on-premises infrastructure.
- Practical infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Experience with on-call duties and production incident management.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash.
- Fluent French.
- Professional English.
- An engineering master's degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of approximately 450 VMware/vSphere virtual machines across five datacenters to Kubernetes.
- Design and implement high-availability architectures and infrastructure extensions.
- Automate provisioning, deployments, system updates, and platform operations with Terraform and Ansible.
- Eliminate recurring manual operations through automation.
- Ensure client-platform availability, capacity, and performance; own SLA and SLO commitments.
- Define SLOs with development teams and balance reliability with delivery speed.
- Improve metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerting while reducing alert noise.
- Lead major incident response, blameless post-mortems, and remediation plans.
- Act as the final escalation point for infrastructure issues and address recurring root causes.
- Incorporate banking-sector security and compliance requirements into infrastructure decisions.
- Document architectures and runbooks, mentor engineers, and lead technical reviews.
- Contribute to technical hiring.
