Senior Staff DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and operate cloud infrastructure that enhances reliability and efficiency across GCP, AWS, and global data centers, leveraging AI and machine learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or infrastructure engineering
• Expertise in multi-cloud environments with GCP and AWS
• Experience in designing and operating multi-cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
• Experience with Linux and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab
• Strong fundamentals in HTTP and networking
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Self-disciplined and motivated
• Experience with AI/ML in operational workflows is a plus
• Experience with cloud compliance frameworks is a plus
• Experience with large database systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for microservices deployment
• Leverage AI/ML for incident detection and remediation
• Integrate AI-powered tools into SRE workflows
• Write automation code for infrastructure provisioning
• Develop self-healing systems for anomaly detection
• Ensure applications are production-ready and scalable
• Improve automation for code deployment and observability
• Establish monitoring and alerting with AI-driven analytics
• Participate in on-call rotation for platform support
• Lead root cause analysis and build automation to prevent issues
• Mentor SRE/DevOps on best practices
• Represent SRE/DevOps in design reviews
