Cortea AI is seeking a Senior/Staff Platform Engineer to enhance their platform by making implicit system decisions explicit, focusing on architecture, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• Designed, built, and operated distributed systems end to end
• Strong backend software engineering and DevOps/SRE skills
• Experience writing design docs, RFCs, ADRs, and postmortems
• Ability to identify simple, effective solutions
• Skilled in finding alternative solutions to complex problems
• Experience scaling relational databases under load
• Experience running production Kubernetes
• Built observability systems

Responsibilities

• Make the easiest way for product engineers secure, reliable, and scalable by default
• Build shared primitives, libraries, and APIs that hide complexity
• Own the architecture and core stack
• Provision, run, and tune Kubernetes cluster and cloud footprint
• Define SLIs for critical workloads
• Drive down AI and infrastructure costs
• Ensure internal foundations are secure
• Own authentication and authorization stack
• Implement SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls
• Support product engineers and their agents
