Senior Streaming Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Streaming Infrastructure Engineer will support the design, operation, and continuous improvement of streaming and digital media platforms, ensuring high availability and reliability. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing streaming technology solutions, contributing to scalable video and audio streaming systems, and troubleshooting issues across streaming and broadcast systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in OTT, streaming, broadcast, or media technology environments
• Recognised Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience with scripting, automation, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar
• Evidence of programming ability and project contribution (Gitlab, SVN, etc)
• Proven expertise in streaming technologies, broadcast systems, and digital media workflows
• Solid knowledge of Linux, IP networking, storage, compute, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of industry standards and protocols including SMPTE ST 2110, HLS, MPEG-DASH, CMAF, and DRM technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and workflows for OTT and digital media systems
• Develop and optimize streaming technology solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Contribute to the architecture of scalable, high-performance video and audio streaming systems
• Monitor, analyze, and improve end-to-end video delivery performance and quality of experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across streaming, broadcast, and supporting IT systems
• Drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovation
