Senior System Administrator (m/w/d)

Job summary

The Senior System Administrator will implement and administer the R&D infrastructure, monitor system status, and provide 2nd level support. This role involves configuring and managing developer services, documenting installations, and contributing to technology selection and standardization. The administrator will also automate and optimize installations and system configurations, and conduct internal training.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable technical education with several years of relevant professional experience.
• Several years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in networks, network security, virtualization, and Linux (Debian, Rocky/RHEL).
• Analytical thinking, structured work, independent work, and good teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality.
• Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience in IT security and IT standards/certifications (BSI IT Grundschutz, NIS/NIS2, CIS, DIN EN 91xx).
• Experience with automation tools (Foreman, Puppet, Ansible).
• Experience with developer software (Artifactory/Nexus, SonarQube, Jenkins).
• Experience in security-relevant infrastructures.

Responsibilities
