Senior System Engineer DevOps & Cloud Automation (m/w/d)

Job summary

Responsible for building, operating, and developing a highly available cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack, and automating infrastructure, configuration, and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Completed IT education or degree in computer science
• Several years of experience in cloud or Linux engineering
• Strong knowledge in administering Linux systems like Ubuntu, Debian, or RHEL at the command line
• Practical experience with Ansible, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ideally experienced with OpenStack
• Basic knowledge in TCP/IP, routing, and switching
• Fluent in German
• Independent and structured working style

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and develop a highly available cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack
• Automate infrastructure, configuration, and deployment processes with Ansible, Git, and CI/CD
• Administer and manage patches for central OpenStack components like Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, and Glance
• Operate and develop storage and monitoring solutions, resolving complex issues in 2nd/3rd level support
• Contribute to the cloud roadmap and evaluate suitable open-source technologies
