Senior System Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior System Infrastructure Engineer designs, implements, and manages large-scale infrastructure for corporate IT and a business-critical broadcast environment. The role combines Microsoft and Linux administration with virtualization and containers using VMware ESXi/Horizon, Docker, and Kubernetes, alongside SQL, Active Directory, storage, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, and security. It also provides third-line support and contributes to infrastructure architecture and information-security practices supporting ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a senior infrastructure, systems, or platform engineer in a complex IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux system administration.
• Experience with virtualization and container platforms; VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes are preferred.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, databases, storage, backup and disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Experience with security and information security; ISO 27001 knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot hands-on and make long-term architecture decisions.
• Independent, structured approach and willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and develop large-scale IT infrastructure.
• Administer and develop Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Guide virtualization across corporate and broadcast IT using VMware ESXi/Horizon, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Manage and optimize SQL database environments.
• Perform Active Directory enterprise and schema administration.
• Serve as a DevOps infrastructure architect and third-line engineer.
• Manage storage platforms, including Pure, GPFS/Pixit, Dell Isilon, and SVSAN.
• Provide third-line support for infrastructure, operations, and SecOps in the broadcast IT environment.
• Design and manage backup and disaster recovery, including Rubrik.
• Develop monitoring for corporate and broadcast systems.
• Contribute to information-security processes and policies supporting ISO 27001.
• Contribute to integration across virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security, IAM/SIEM, and CI/CD.
