Senior Systems Administrator

Job summary

The Senior Systems Administrator will manage the functionality and efficiency of computer systems, ensuring compliance with security policies and providing guidance to less-experienced staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience required.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience with Windows infrastructure services.
• Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices.
• Experience with data center operations and server hardware.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT level II access.

Responsibilities

• Manage functionality and efficiency of computer systems.
• Deploy security policies and updates for compliance.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Evaluate vendor products and interact with users.
• Recommend and coordinate hardware and software purchases.
• Develop and monitor computing resource policies.
• Implement testing strategies and document results.
• Provide training and advice to end-users.
• Guide less-experienced staff.
• Stay updated on rapidly changing technology.
• Develop scripts for systems administration tasks.
• Deploy updates via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Participate in special projects.
• Produce monthly network statistics.
• Maintain DHCP scopes and options.
• Update print services across print servers.
