Job summary

The Senior Systems / DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for the administration, integration, deployment, and maintenance of complex Linux-based systems in mission-critical environments. Key responsibilities include performing Linux systems administration, managing Kubernetes clusters, building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab, and developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform to enhance system reliability and support new deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux, preferably RHEL/CentOS
• Recent hands-on experience with Kubernetes within the last 3 years
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production or mission-critical environments
• Experience with network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Python and Bash scripting
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across operating systems, networks, containers, and infrastructure
• Willingness to travel for system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux systems administration, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance
• Support system installation, integration, configuration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities
• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure supporting distributed systems
• Administer LAN/CAN/WAN environments and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
• Configure and optimize network connectivity between front-end and back-end systems
• Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and/or Terraform
• Monitor and troubleshoot hybrid cloud and virtualized environments
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical operational issues
