Job summary
A senior systems and infrastructure engineer will establish reliable infrastructure for a new software platform team supporting autonomy engineering. The role covers unified over-the-air software updates for Jetson, NXP, and other edge devices; Linux and ARM64 device provisioning; automated container deployments and recovery; network connectivity; GPU compute and self-hosted CI; and operational monitoring and standards. The work supports unmanned and autonomous systems, including defence applications.

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Around five years of hands-on infrastructure, DevOps, or Linux systems engineering experience.
- Experience building and operating systems, ideally in a small IT or platform team.
- Experience distributing and updating software across large fleets of laptops, servers, or embedded systems.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, with reliable Bash and Python automation.
- Ability to debug IP networks end to end, including routing, DNS, SSH, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with Docker and container deployment.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- Eligibility to work on defence-related projects and obtain relevant security clearance where required.
Responsibilities
- Unify software update and distribution systems for Jetson, NXP, and other edge devices.
- Provision, configure, and maintain Linux edge devices, workstations, ground systems, and ARM64 platforms.
- Build reproducible container images, deployments, device configurations, release workflows, and recovery procedures using Bash and Python.
- Design and troubleshoot network connectivity for local and remote devices, including routing, SSH, VPNs, firewalls, and constrained field links.
- Improve the reliability of GPU compute and evaluation clusters and self-hosted CI runners.
- Improve monitoring, service availability, security hygiene, and operational documentation in coordination with the cybersecurity engineer.
- Set infrastructure standards and support firmware, robotics, computer vision, and test teams in the lab and field.
