Job summary
The Senior Technical DevOps Engineer – SRE leads DevOps, cloud engineering, and site reliability practices across products and programs. The role designs and operates CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation, and container platforms, while improving service availability, performance, monitoring, and incident response. It partners with architecture, security, release engineering, and product teams to deliver reliable, secure services using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, and Azure.

Qualifications
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with build automation and CI/CD tools.
- Experience developing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes or OpenShift environments, including Helm and ECR.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience implementing automation and CI/CD for microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics, such as Dynatrace or Splunk.
- Experience with infrastructure configuration and automation using Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting highly available, secure services with automatic failover using containers and orchestration tools.
- Experience developing, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and cloud-managed container platforms at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead cloud adoption and migration discovery with architecture and security teams.
- Design DevOps and cloud engineering architectures.
- Automate change management, resilience, monitoring, capacity planning, and emergency response.
- Lead reliability, scalability, and performance for assigned products.
- Improve deployment and operational environments by reducing failures, troubleshooting infrastructure, and expanding monitoring.
- Coordinate release strategies with release engineering, product development, and security teams, including canary deployments and rollbacks.
- Maintain healthy continuous deployment pipelines and deliver high-quality, production-ready technical solutions.
- Build and operate software development, CI, and CD environments based on cloud application principles such as 12-factor apps.
- Advise engineering and product teams on DevSecOps practices and security solutions.
- Operate and improve service availability, latency, performance, monitoring, and incident response.
