Job summary

The Senior Test Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing test automation solutions for an AI and MLOps platform, enhancing AI-driven capabilities. Key responsibilities include designing reusable test automation patterns, automating test cases with Python frameworks like Playwright-Python and pytest, and integrating tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines while ensuring adherence to the Bank's Test Strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Python-based test automation
• Demonstrated ability to design and own test automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating and executing automated tests
• Experience with distributed test execution and modern reporting tools
• Solid grasp of Git and version control workflows
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes basics
• Exposure to testing AI/ML systems
• Understanding of API design and microservices
• Sound understanding of SAFe and DevOps principles
• Experience with Jira for Story/Feature tracking
• Demonstrated end-to-end thinking
• Comfortable working within an established Test Strategy
• Demonstrated awareness of information security and data privacy
• Collaborative team player with strong ownership

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical test automation approach and framework architecture
• Design reusable, scalable test automation patterns
• Analyse and evaluate requirements for testability
• Derive test cases from technical and risk analysis
• Automate identified test cases using Python-based frameworks
• Design and implement AI/ML-specific test cases
• Build and maintain contract tests for platform APIs
• Integrate and orchestrate automated tests in GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to provision test environments
• Plan, schedule, and trigger automated test executions
• Monitor execution health and investigate flaky tests
• Triage execution results and raise defects in Jira
• Produce execution evidence suitable for audit and release governance
• Contribute actively to PI Planning and other SAFe ceremonies
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from Jira Features and Stories
• Author and maintain BDD scenarios in Gherkin
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Engineers
• Align work with the Bank's Test Strategy
• Support root cause analysis of defects
• Act as Test Automation Ambassador within the ML & AI ART
