Job summary
The Senior Test Automation Engineer shapes automation strategy and develops maintainable frameworks for frontend, API, and regression testing. The role integrates automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, guides architecture and tooling decisions, investigates test instability and quality risks, and supports customer workshops and QA team development. Work is based in Görlitz, with supplementary mobile work available; fully remote work is not offered.

Qualifications
- At least five years of software testing experience, including several years of hands-on test automation.
- Strong proficiency in at least one relevant programming language, such as Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or C#.
- Practical experience with at least one established automation framework, such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or REST Assured.
- Experience with frontend and API automation, Git, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of test architecture, maintainable code, test pyramids, and risk-based automation.
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and take responsibility for their implementation.
- German proficiency at C1 level or higher.
- Willingness to work regularly at the Görlitz location.
- Valid authorization to work in Germany by the start date.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation strategies with customers and project teams.
- Develop and optimize frameworks for frontend, API, and regression testing.
- Integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Make technical decisions about architecture, tools, maintainability, and test execution.
- Investigate unstable tests, technical deviations, and quality risks and recommend improvements.
- Conduct code and concept reviews and share best practices.
- Facilitate technical discussions and workshops with German-speaking customers.
- Support the development of QA and test automation teams.
