Job summary
The Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at App*** involves strategic engineering and hands-on technical work, focusing on configuring and optimizing multi-tiered systems for application performance and stability.
Qualifications
- Fast learner with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting Java applications
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies
- Experience with geographically distributed teams and high-level project implementations
- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver results on time
- 5+ years in a large scale *nix environment
- Understanding of SRE principles and prior on-call experience
- Extensive experience managing applications on AWS and Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kubernetes, and AWS
Responsibilities
- Support Java applications and Spark/Flink jobs on Baremetal, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Understand application requirements and assess services/topology on AWS, Baremetal, and Kubernetes
- Build automation for self-healing systems
- Develop tools to monitor high performance and alert low latency applications
- Troubleshoot application-specific, core network, system, and performance issues
- Engage in fast-paced projects delivering innovative solutions
- Monitor production, staging, test, and development environments
