Job summary
Fractile is seeking a Silicon Infrastructure Engineer to develop and support tooling and workflows for EDA tools, improve developer tools, and deploy and maintain compute infrastructure. This role involves optimizing workloads and ensuring the efficient operation of AI inference systems.

Qualifications
- Experience with EDA tooling.
- Experience with build systems tooling, such as Bazel.
- Experience with workload management tools, such as Slurm.
- Experience with container orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Proficiency in modern software development languages and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving network, storage, CPU, and RAM bottlenecks across complex workloads.
- Experience deploying and managing a grid compute system (Slurm/LSF/SGE).
- Proficiency with containerization frameworks (Docker/Singularity).
Responsibilities
- Create and support tooling and workflows for EDA tools, requiring coding and build-system knowledge.
- Add build system support for new EDA tools across the chip lifecycle.
- Create and improve developer tools for frontend and backend silicon teams.
- Improve existing workflows for cacheability and reproducibility.
- Deploy and maintain compute infrastructure (cloud or on-premise) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible/Terraform).
- Set up and monitor observation tooling for resource utilization and machine failures (e.g., Prometheus/Zabbix).
- Work with the engineering team to build and optimize workloads.
