Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role focuses on managing and scaling complex distributed systems, ensuring high performance and reliability across various services. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting systems, participating in code reviews, and evolving foundational systems, utilizing technologies such as Linux, Puppet, Ansible, Grafana, and CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment
• Hands-on experience managing diverse systems with configuration management or software delivery platforms (Puppet, Ansible)
• Experience with deploying, supporting, and monitoring services, platforms, and application stacks (Grafana, Splunk)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, both with and without AI assistance
• Advanced experience with programming languages (Go, Python, Ruby, Bash) and a passion for designing reliable systems
• Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with source code and artifact management systems, CI/CD infrastructure (GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins)
• Automation advocate believing in removing operational load with software
• Understanding of the Linux operating system, standard networking protocols, and components

Responsibilities

• Create outstanding customer experience and help developers write better code faster
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems running on both bare metal and hypervisors
• Participate in code reviews and provide helpful and precise feedback
• Constantly evaluate and improve delivery processes within the team
• Evolve critical foundational systems to provide next generation features at scale
