Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer role focuses on operating, improving, and sustaining mission-critical developer platforms for Air Dominance engineering teams. Key responsibilities include maintaining GitLab, Jira, PostgreSQL, and related tools, automating workflows, troubleshooting incidents, and driving reliability improvements through Infrastructure as Code and monitoring practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• 2+ years of experience with software development or troubleshooting
• 2+ years of experience with Git-based source control workflows
• 2+ years of experience in a cloud computing environment

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain GitLab, GitLab CI/CD runners, Jira, Confluence, PostgreSQL, and related developer tooling infrastructure
• Support GitLab runner registration, health checks, and troubleshooting
• Administer software development tools and manage integrations
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, and operational readiness
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts
• Plan and execute application upgrades and security patches
• Analyze software delivery and platform reliability metrics
• Support incident response and post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Improve operational documentation and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor system health using approved tools
• Triage and resolve service requests and platform support tickets
• Assist with backup monitoring and restore validation
• Contribute to metrics and dashboards for system performance
• Learn and apply Site Reliability Engineering practices
