Job summary
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for DNS at Opt*** is responsible for the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the DNS infrastructure, emphasizing automation, observability, and self-healing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
- 5+ years in networking or systems engineering role
- Experience with BIND, Unbound, PowerDNS, AWS Route 53, or Azure DNS
- Understanding of TCP/IP and DNS-specific protocols
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
- Experience with Grafana and OpenTelemetry
Responsibilities
- Lead design and evolution of global DNS architectures
- Act as primary technical authority in vendor engagements
- Oversee full lifecycle of DNS platforms
- Define and enforce standards for DNS record management
- Convert strategic design into operational reality
