Job summary
The Site Reliability Engineer supports and advances SaaS platform systems used by large organisations, sharing responsibility for security, performance, scalability, and usability. The role involves writing efficient, testable code to reduce operational toil through automation, refining technical requirements, and assessing the feasibility of business needs. The platform uses Google Cloud services including Cloud Run, App Engine, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub, alongside tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins.

Qualifications
- Basic understanding of cloud and serverless technologies.
- Basic understanding of automation principles.
- Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with shell or Bash scripting.
- Experience with Python or PHP.
- Experience building and deploying Jenkins or serverless CI/CD pipelines, such as Travis CI or CircleCI.
- Experience managing and maintaining MySQL databases and using basic SQL.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems, such as CentOS.
