Site Reliability Engineer II

Job summary

This Site Reliability Engineer II supports production readiness and reliability across the service lifecycle, partnering with development, operations, product, and quality teams to improve customer experience and reduce operational risk. Responsibilities include monitoring availability, latency, capacity, and system health; automating deployments and recovery; supporting incident response and blameless postmortems; and using ITSM feedback to address operational gaps. The role requires 1–3 years of experience with UNIX, scripting, Oracle, and SQL, with exposure to distributed systems and languages such as Python, Java, or Go preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience with UNIX, scripting, Oracle, and SQL
• Analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and make timely decisions
• Experience working across development, operations, and product teams
• Financial environment experience preferred
• Programming experience in one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby preferred
• Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Improve services across inception, design, deployment, operation, and refinement
• Analyze ITSM activities and give development teams feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns
• Support service launches through system design consultation, capacity planning, and launch reviews
• Monitor service availability, latency, and system health
• Automate operations and improve reliability and delivery velocity
• Respond to incidents and conduct blameless postmortems
• Troubleshoot production events across technology stacks to reduce recovery time
• Collaborate with global teams and mentor junior colleagues
