Job summary
Design, operate, and continuously improve secure, highly available Azure platforms for large-scale production environments. Lead reliability initiatives by defining service indicators, objectives, and error budgets; improving resilience and incident response; and building reusable infrastructure and automation. The role also operates Azure Kubernetes Service using GitOps and strengthens observability and delivery pipelines with tools including Terraform, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications
- Experience in site reliability, cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering supporting large-scale production environments.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and strong Kubernetes experience, preferably with Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Advanced Terraform skills and experience designing reusable infrastructure as code components.
- Strong Git and GitOps practices and experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Strong Linux administration, scripting, and programming skills using Python, PowerShell, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with observability platforms, distributed tracing, application performance monitoring, and proactive alerting.
- Skills in incident management, root cause analysis, capacity planning, performance optimization, disaster recovery testing, and production operations.
- Technical leadership, problem solving, communication, collaboration, customer focus, and an automation-first approach.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available Azure infrastructure.
- Define and maintain service level indicators, service level objectives, and error budgets.
- Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Develop resilience patterns, including auto-scaling, self-healing, disaster recovery, and multi-region failover.
- Design reusable Terraform infrastructure components and automate operational processes.
- Operate and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service clusters, including upgrades, capacity, and workloads.
- Establish container security standards and implement GitOps practices.
- Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing strategies.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines with blue/green and canary deployment strategies.
- Mentor SRE engineers and participate in major incident management.
